So back to fishing :chuckle: at about 10:30 yesterday I decide to hit the river and just see what is up ...I get above the nets and start fishing ...I figured I best go and have my time with the steelhead gods and bless the water I so much love and the fish I so much love to catch ...after an hour the gods blesssed me as usual ....Here is to the Indian Nation ...I SOLUTE YOU !!! I agree with you both. I think he is being harrassed for some reason :dunno:. But I also agree that it probably wasn't the best choice to drive up to and chew out a gamie. A crappy attitude may be the reason for the continued harrassment. My question to BH45 is is it always the same gamie?ALL NO ....HE HAS NEW BLOOD NOW :chuckle:

I am 90% sure I will hunt Oregon this year vice washington. I really would not like to run into a gamie in the area I hunted in washington. I just might go to frickin jail.

You know what though, if you've checked someone 9 times in a year and not found anything illegal going on, why would you waste your time checking again, and again. Sounds like a bit of harrassment to me, even if there have been some attitude issues. Just because someone might be an arse (not saying you are BH :chuckle: ) doesn't mean that they are a law breaking arse. :dunno:

Just saying that the bigger deal someone makes it out to be the harder they may be pushing back. Probably not a lot of people out this year and making yourself a target in this manner will most likey result in getting checked again and again. I'm not suggesting anyone not make the most out of their license or not fish/hunt. Regarless....with comments saying that anytime they are in the area he "gives them a piece of his mind" will get him checked each and every time he steps out the truck.

Pretty much ...and the main reason for all my ranting and beaching is because they are saying steelhead are at records lows .....DAH ...So lets just net the ones that are left and kill them all ....we used to be able to fish for steelhead into March then in went to February and now it ends at the end of January ...Man my blood pressure is running high !!!!!! they need to just clean them out and that way we do not have to worry about who is catching what ...Whiteman and Indian !

Your not getting it. They are fishing with nets, while a guy holds a pole is getting checked for too many fish and such.. Kinda see an issue there dont ya. Some people are tired of not playing by the same rules.......

Based on the original post it kind of seems as though you were the one doing the harassing. Thank you for your concern but I do get it. I get that you are ranting about two different things. You are upset that the river is being netted (and most likely hurting everything that swims in it) and are taking your frustrations out on game wardens for doing their job which is keeping an eye on people using the resource. You and your family obviously spend a lot more time outdoors than most and have many chances to be subject to that scrutiny. Since you apparently deem this as unfair you have come up with reasons to approach, unsolicited mind you, game wardens and give them a bitch session. In return for listening to you they probably think its best to return the favor and keep on cheching those licenses.

Hey I am sorry man but they give me no reason to like them ... they run there traps about me and nothen they claim is true ... I hunt hard as I can and that's why we are successful ...NOTHEN ELSE....I buy a license every year and I am sorry I take full advantage of it ....I do not buy a fishing license for my boys and expect them to stay home ..this is why we have kids on drugs and doing other things they should not be doing ...Harassing a kid while he is fishing is telling him he can not do it freely ...they both had a little tackle bag with them and he checked both bags ....was he looking for a 20 lb steelhead or what ...?? Kids should be fishing and that's what they want to do but this state is way off course when it comes to values we were accustom to when we were kids ....Think about it ...Its not right and I am not hidding in the corner over issues that I call BS on !!!!!!!! :sry: :oYes he did, read it again

As to the OP, BH45, I would say start keeping a record of your interactions with enforcement folks. If they check you or your kids, make a record of it with date, time and names if possible. If you are being harassed or targeted, that should become apparent pretty quickly, and you will be able to make a case to that effect. OTOH, if they are watching you through bino's while you fish, so what?
