I was thinking about shooting Traditions full bore or Hornaday full bore bullets has anybody shot these and did you like or dislike and was it on a target or animal thanks for your coments.

bring an ice pack for your hand after you load the first one. Awesome accuracy in a traditions LDR, but loading was horrible.

I've used full bore .50s. The guy I bought the gun from suggested removing the breech plug and pre-rifling them by running them through the barrel. This worked well, though it takes a little more time to line the rifling up when reloading if a second shot is needed.

i shot the 300 grain ones on sunday and found them much easier to load than the 3 differant sabot combinations we had with us as well. :twocents: as far as accuracy, i was shooting 3" groups at 100 off hand and thats a dead animal for sure!

That is some outstanding muzzleloader shooting. That should win you a few matches for sure.

pretty sure it was a lot of luck involved in those groups. :chuckle:
