Title: Trap setups
Post by: nategood21 on January 19, 2013, 01:24:24 PM: I'm new to the trapping game and was wondering what cage sets are suppose to look like. I have some traps out in the field but they aren't producing anything other then some bluejays and fat mice. If anyone could post a picture of how they're suppose to look it would be much appreciated.

Post by: 70sdiver on January 19, 2013, 03:01:16 PM: what are you trying for? I cover the bottom of my cages with dirt and shake come dried grass over the floor then brush in the sides and top.If you tell us what your after we can probably give you some ideas.

I spotlight occasionally in the area and see them all the time. the traps are set next to a creek and the trails they use frequently. haven't been able to catch any though. I guess I'm looking to see how much covering up they need. Like for instance should it be dark inside? some light? completely covered all the way around except the entrance?
