I have a Moultrie m-80 trail cam and really like it. I also have a m-100 (only difference is the 100 has a viewing screen) and also like it. I was looking into buying a couple more m-80's at Cabelas and they don't sell em anymore. The new line of cameras from Moultrie have a brighter flash. I wonder if this new flash will drain the battery faster. :dunno:

That sucks. The m-80s are my favorite.

Mine too. Simple and reliable in my experience. :twocents:

If the newer ones have a brighter flash AND the same or better battery life then I don't mind as much.

What seems to be the thing this year, is the black flash cameras. I believe there is a m80 that has the black flash. That might be the one to try.

I know its the thing, but you wait til you find a reliable camera and wait a year for the price to drop, then they discontinue the model. Each of my cameras take 10,000-15,000 pics a year, so battery life is paramount.

Whoa. Where do you get that one? How much does it cost? I know they upgraded the 80, but I hope the batteries last just as long as the one I have.

You can still find the older m-80s around. Glad I purchased several, including several of the black flash ones. They have great battery life, and I don't need anymore in a cam for what I use them for. :twocents:
