I have been looking to get some camo for this season; something that is waterproof, windproof/wind resistant, something I can layer (I get stay pretty warm and don't feel a need for a really big thick jacket or pant, I can just add several layers) and if it has a form of sent lock that would be a bonus but is not a necessity.
I have done a lot of looking/research and have tried on many jackets & pants and have found several candidates...
Sitka Celsius Jacket
Sitka Ascent Pants
Cabela's GORE-TEX MT050 Sent-Lok Parka
River's West Back Country Jacket
River's West Stalker Pant
What are your guy's thoughts and opinions? Do you have any experience with these? Are there any other's you would recommend?

Love my rivers west gear, but it does not breathe well and I get really hot!

Sitka is great stuff. I own the Nimbus jacket, Nimbus pant, core zip-t and 90% pants. they all work great. I wouldnt go hunting on the westside without the Nimbus pants and jacket, they breath well and have zippers to allow for more air flow. That being said the 90% pants do get freyed pretty easily going through clear cuts and diving into the brush. The freys dont ruin the pants its just pulling strings in the pants here or there. If i can ill post picks for you of the pants today or tomorrow. Another brand you may want to look at is ASAT ELite. Its a new line that is just coming out this season.

X-Force, do you know the difference between the Nimbus and Celsius jackets? I also have the same question with the Nimbus and Ascent pants.
Thanks!

Celsius is an insulation layer jacket and Nimbus is a waterproof jacket. Nimbus is really thin and doesn't have any insulation properties.

Ask hornseeker, he just got a screaming deal from a friend and several thousand dollars worth of stuff from Sitka for basically pennies on the dollar. He has been using it all this fall.
