I know we do not get this kind of opportunity here in the Pac Northwest that much. But this was some interesting shooting for a ML...

Thats awesome, would be fun!

That's a fun video. Makes me want to put a scope on my Disc Extreme just for the fun of it. :dunno:

Just curious Sabotloader, what amount of energy and FPS at 300 & 400 yards with the .50 bloodlines?

You Know I do not know... I will have to sit down and calculate it... Can not imagine at 400 having enough and even at 300 it is probably marginal...

Hey Sabotloader. You get to check out the Ultra Light yet?

I have been told.... but we will see, they have completed all upgrades and the rifle is suppose to be shipped by the end of the week or the first of next week... There are a lot ahead of me though... dang it...

Hey sabotloader does the new ultra light have the same action and breech as the disc? Wa legal? Let me know when you get it and shoot it. Curious about recoil on such a light gun. Heath

Basically it is the same action as the Extreme but it is different...
And that has now created another hold up in the rifle for me... I called Knight and asked why they did not offer the U-Lite with sights? I suggested it really might be a good option to have. Also suggested that they make a cap breech plug for it so it could be western legal. The gun smith said that they have recieved several requests for that option, especially at the big gun shows they have been doing lately. He suggested that he had a test U-Lite made up and that he was going to test shoot very soon. I asked him to set mine up that way also... Nother delay but it will be coming with open sights...
I really believe the U-Lite will make an excellent mountain rifle...

I agree it will make and excellent mountain rifle. Carrying a heavy rifle on a day hunt doesn't bother me. I grew up with heavy lunkers. I pack in 6 miles for the high buck hunt in some pretty rugged terrain. It would be nice to shave off weight where ever I can. I just bought a sako a7 tecomate 300 short mag with the same stock as the new u lite. I love it. Keep meet posted. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Sounds sweet! If it comes WA legal, I may be ordering one!
Are you going to post a review of the rifle after you have the opp to shoot it?

I am not holdong my breath - but Knight said the rifle would be here next week... You can bet if it gets here it is going to be shot - a bunch and yep! u-all will hear about it...
Might even be able to take it down to the Tri-Cities one trip and let fair-chase look at it also... If shguns comes down from Spokane for a ML Rondy shoot I will let him have a go at it also. That way we have more eyes on it and get more thoughts on paper!
The one on the left...

First off, I like watching most all shooting videos.
I have a knight disc extreme...that video does nothing for me! I would get more value seeing them group each gun at those distances, not skipping around with guns and distance. I have not been able to obtain anything better than a 3" group at 100 yards and I've spent some doe and lots of time attempting my goal of 1.5 MOA. Season 3, still at it!
Sabotloader, thanks for all your ML info on this site, you step up to the plate often
Knight shooters, or any ML shooter, who shoots 2 MOA???

Really am not feeling good about your problem ewith groups... but I guarantee you it can be fixed. There are only a couple of things that could cause that problem - well actually that is not quite true because there really could also be a mechanical issue - but if that ithe case Knight would take of that also... The fit issues we can fix very easily... OK now I am backing up again... if you are shooting a 3" group with open sights - shooting a hunting load really that is not all that bad.
But, there are some things I can suggest you look at - but I am headed out the door right now for a ML shoot down on the Snake River - when i get back I will check in...
Might look at this thread also... I posted a couple of replys in it...
