Title: coyote calling
Post by: coyoteshooter on January 28, 2013, 09:17:00 PM: what's the best sound to use for calling in coyotes this time of year ? should I use the distress with some coyote howls

Post by: GEARHEAD on January 28, 2013, 10:00:31 PM: a simple medium sized open read distress call will work year round. get two....one reason, is they will make a little bit different sounds, the other......because you may leave one at a stand, and then discover this when arriving at the second. :chuckle:

Post by: fast1 on February 06, 2013, 08:28:03 AM: Know the wind,try & shade urself or hav a back drop, don't over call, if nothing is working mix it up. I used a distress the other day, after about 20 of nothing I played distress with a few howls over it, wamoo a double showed up. Most hilarious double I ever got after the second jumped off about a 30 foot bluff & busted herself up.
Keep tryin, the amount u see in the house is slim.
