I've been using duck and goose carcasses for bait too. Started a couple weeks ago and so far all that's been eating on them is hawks and possums.
Good luck, I hope you get lucky. Are you putting up a game camera to see what comes in?

Darn nothing huh, was thinking about using one for tonight, and set my cam on a {senario set} I have a coyote decoy I ziptied a real yote tail to it and sprayed withcoyote urine.then ill put the othet carcsses like hes eatin them, hit record see if just if a coyote comes terring in and rips it apart,. That or weeks of nothing and my honey hole is ruind lol ol

a big big bag of the cheapest dog food you can find. the scent carries very very well.

I do have right now a cam looking at a nylon stocking stuffed with alpo from walgreens, and a can of alpo puppy wet food hamging in a tree,.... I put chiken breast on ground staked them down too going to check that cam tomarrow around 3pm its been there for 4days now so hoping it has atracted more than ravens..

I've used duck carcasses for crab bait and they work pretty well, but not for coyotes.

Mine are being added to deer/elk bones and scraps that I already had at my bait sites. The dog food sounds like a good idea. I'm also saving up leftovers from our meals and adding to the piles.

Dang sounding like a long nite then. Maybe ill stop and get somemore dogfood,ill start at the dollar store hehe
