Hunter Clean-Up Day
McNary National Wildlife Refuge

When:  Saturday, February 23, 2013, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Where:  Meet at the McNary Environmental Education Center (Hunter Check Station) at 311 Lake Road/64 Maple Street, Burbank, Washington.  Initial clean-up areas will focus on the McNary Fee Hunt Unit and the Peninsula Unit.  If there are enough people, other areas of the refuge will also be cleaned up.

Who:  Waterfowl hunters (and anyone else interested) work together to cleanup the hunting areas of the refuge by disposing of empty shells and other trash.

What to Bring:  Bring own work gloves and, if possible, waterproof boots or hip waders.

Lunch:  The Friends of Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuges are having their annual meeting from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. in the conference room at the headquarters.  Lunch is included.  Come meet the Friends!  It would be nice to have hunters join the Friends.

For More Information:  509-546-8300.

Always wish I could attend this to learn the whole area and meet new hunters in hope to get invited to the good blinds some day. But I have to work which cuts me out a lot of the season as well.  Don't let you babies grow up to work for corprate America.
