Title: Winston GMU question
Post by: diesel737 on February 11, 2013, 08:44:48 PM
Does anyone know if the big yellow gate is open where Winston Creek Road meets Perkins Road?  I believe its a WeyCo gate, but its been a few years since I have been there.  Was thinking about going for a drive to check that area out.  If you hunt Winston, where do you drive in?
Thanks!

That is all Port Blakely now so no vehicle traffic at all; even during hunting season. You can walk in but it's about 3 miles in on the flats before you even get to where you may start seeing elk. Deer might be low.

Good place to go lots of animals in there if you don't mind hiking a little. Know of a few guys that took some nice animals in there.
