Senate Bill 5739 would allow those agencies that have ownership over parks or facilities used for public recreational purposes to restrict the possession of firearms.

We need to call our state senators on this bill to oppose it. This will NOT make parks safer for law-abiding citizens. It'll only make them safer for criminals. Oppose this bill!
Here's the link to find your state senator:

Call them on the phone about this or write an email, but make sure you request a response. Thanks bigtex!

Didn't we have this fight with Seattle already? Wouldn't this take a constitutional admendment?

Just talked with Sen Benton's office. He will not be supporting this bill.

CPL holders would be exempt from this restriction.

But open carriers would not. Gun free zones don't work well for law abiding citizens. Oppose this.

I'll trade you Benton for Cleveland. :bash:
I'll even throw in Moeller for free!

Yuck, no way. We have it pretty good here in Clark Co. - Benton and Harris are both Rs. And our US Congresswoman is Jaime Herrera Beutler - woof! She's one conservative hottie congresswoman. I really want a picture of her packin' a Colt Anaconda.
