Title: Camera Security in Sage Country
Post by: yote on February 14, 2013, 11:47:26 PM
I tried doing a search on here to find out how people secure their game cameras in sage country, but I had no luck... I just screwed it in to the biggest/well placed sage brush I could find and covered it up the best I could without hindering the camera lense  :dunno:
What do you all do??

T-post's are fairly innexpensive and light.

That is cool if you have private property but on public it still would be easy for someone to steal

Something I'm gonna try....Build a birdhouse out of greyed wood and hide the cam inside it.
There are always birdhouses out and about and most people dont look that close at them.

I wonder how many pissed off birds you'll get on your trail cam... :chuckle:

I like the bird house idea, but I bet in sage someone would wander up to it.

Sadly, in my experience, if enough people see it, it is gone.

I hunt some public property that gets a fair amount of traffic.   I've has 3 stolen in the past 3 years.   Thieves suck....  That is why I buy those super cheap $30 cameras.   I'd be real pissed if they stole an expensive one.

That reminds me...It's time to get my camera out there again, before some ringy bird decides to build a nest in my lock box.  (Just took the camera, and left the box)  :chuckle:
