I think it's to late, better get rid of the tree before cupid there gets ideas about housing and a mate!  :yike:

Cool pics!  There's a few Peregrine Falcons in my area picking off the Quail.  Even if they get half of them, there will still be plenty left...  :tup:

That tree has been hit by lighting at least twice, Withstood near 100mph winds on several occasions, A little ivy that's been growing up that thing for the last 20 years isn't the worry. Him making a bloody nest at the top would concern me. Living around farm land, there are always Hawks, Eagles and Owls around, we have to be a bit careful when letting the pup out to do her business.  The boys were out duck hunting on the last weekend of season and lost two ducks they hit to Eagles wanting an easy meal.

 Looks like baldy has been digging around in a meal. He a little dirty!

I don't know that he's all that dirty. I'm thinkin he's 2-3 years old and going through that color phase change to full maturity. And yes, our little girl would be just an appetizer, but I see birds of prey take smaller animals all the time around here.
