For those that think Skamania CO Sheriff Dave Brown won't enforce federal gun laws, may want to read this:
Q. Are you telling us you will refuse to enforce federal law?
A. The Sheriff is duly elected by the registered voters of the county in the State of Washington. They are charged with upholding the laws of the State of Washington, and defending the Constitution of both the United States and the State of Washington. We have no authority to enforce federal laws. All enforcement of federal laws must be carried out by federal law enforcement officers.
Q. Why do feel you have the authority to interpret the 2nd Amendment?
A. I do not believe that I have any authority to interpret either the U.S. Constitution or the Washington State Constitution. I do, however, believe I have an obligation to follow the law.
I think there are a lot that think all of a sudden these Sheriff's are "standing-up" to say we aren't going to enforce federal laws. Well they don't do that already, nor do they have the authority to....

Exactly. And if the law states that AR-15s are banned and illegal you can bet your last dollar he will instruct his deputy's to make an arrest.

His job is to follow the law.but if you read the article he did site several court judgments that say you have the right to own firearms.

He is a law man and he will follow the law. Just like the law man did during Katrina when Martial "LAW " was declared.

For years after WW2 "nazi hunters" chased down and prosecuted "lawmen" who were just following orders as they commited crimes against their own people. People are responsible for their actions, doesn't matter if they are following orders or just doing their job. Anyone commiting crimes for a living should abandon that job to do honest work. Not saying sherrifing isn't an honest job, but violating god given rights is NOT honest work.
ya after this mess they will have to answer for thier just following order crap.
:yeah:
