Title: Where to go east side.
Post by: MuleyJam on February 20, 2013, 10:23:45 AM
Ok so me and my friends are hoping to do an east side backpack trip/ muley shed hunt...It will be my first time on east side so I was wondering if you guys had any tips for us on where to go (what unit or area to go?) We don't mind hiking in a ways to camp and get away from where most people go. If you could give me some tips that would be awesome thanks! Feel free to send me a PM.

I've never been in these areas before, but if it were me I would go somewhere in the Chelan or Loomis areas. I have some friends and some family that hunt and or snowmobile in these areas and they come across some monster mule deer. I suggest this because I want to do the same kind of trip this summer as well. I'm leaning more towards Chelan. Good luck to where ever you go. :hello:

Anywhere that those muleys come down from the cascades to winter is a great place to look. Id recomend chelan or wenatchee area
