Senate Bill 5760 was introduced on 2/13, had a hearing on 2/19, and was voted in the committee on 2/21. The bill would provide compensation for commercial crop damage caused by bighorn sheep, similar to the program WDFW administers for deer and elk.
WDFW and the state cattleman’s association are in favor.
