Title: confusion about elk herds, 10 or 11?
Post by: Dbax129 on February 24, 2013, 03:50:51 PM

So I was reading on wdfw's website about various things, when I came across their management plans for the different elk herds at http://wdfw.wa.gov/conservation/game/] http://wdfw.wa.gov/conservation/game/ (http://[url)
They list 10 herds:

n
Colockum Elk Herd Pl

Mount St. Helens Elk Herd Plan

North Cascade (Nooksack) Elk Herd Plan

North Rainier Elk Herd Plan

Olympic Elk Herd Plan

Rattlesnake Hills (Hanford) Elk Herd Plan

South Rainier Elk Herd Plan

Yakima Elk Herd Plan

But what about the willapa hills herd? Am I missing something? Everywhere I read says only 10 herds in wa, including wdfw

They probably include willapa hills with the St. Helens herd or they don't currently have a plan  :dunno:
