Title: New cam, new cam-o
Post by: h20hunter on February 28, 2013, 07:12:51 AM
So...the brother in law and I went in on a new Bushnell and I wanted to dress up the security box. Here is what I came up with.

Going to get it out this weekend. The texture on the outside is not very thick and I'm 100% sure it will not affect the cams ability to trip and take pics. I had the same camera before (got ate by a bear) and was very happy with the battery life and pic quality for a 5mp camera. I'll try and get a few pics of it in the field....it looks better in person and should look awesome in the field.

Looks good as long as you are going to stick it on a tree with that same coloration and patterning otherwise it will stick out like a sore thumb.

Hope it will stick out less than nothing. The area I'm thinking of has quite a bit of darker trees and similiar coloration.

In that case it should work fine. The ones I mount to alders are colored more grey/white, and the fir/spruce are grey. I try to match the color of the painted bondo to the pictures of the trees I hav e taken in the area. Good job

Thanks....worst case is I just re-prime and touch it up if I want to move it. Probably be another $5 in materials.
