All 4 feet are covered in white bumps. Are these warts, tumors or birthmarks? Otherwise, it seems to be a healthy beaver. Would you skin it or bury it? I'm pretty sure it won't bother me after I cut the feet off.
-
I've seen that before, not sure what causes it. I always skinned them.
-
Never seen it here.

Looks like there might be a few on his tail, too. From some kind of pollution in the water? :dunno:
Do they glow in the dark? :chuckle:
-
If someone took a bite out your tail you'd probably be a little white knuckled yourself!

I'd skin, of course I wear gloves too. Seen similar marks on a few like that before, maybe not as wide spread though. I once caught one where all the fur was coming off the belly if you rubbed it. Mind you I was doing a 48 hr check and it was single digits in the day even. Needless to say, pitched in brush and my gaunlets were washed thoroughly.

I would guess viral warts. The diagnostic lab at WSU would probably like a tissue sample.
-
Good idea. I will call tomorrow to see if they are interested. Remember when we used to send blood samples to USDA (?) for their Plague study?
