it's like they're coming at us from all sides. Ban guns or most guns then hunting and trapping.

It feels like that because they are coming at us from all sides!  :salute: stand your ground boys. Write your legislators and spread the word. If everyone of us isn't active we will lose all these political battles

This is just the start of it folks. It will pass and everyone is going to vote for it. They took are hounds away in 1996. When i was a youngster my dad had four walker hounds. I remember all those hunting trips and memories.  Memories and traditions that I cant pass down to my children as long as i live in Washington...They banned footholds and can only use cage so now there just going to ban it. Next will be hunting and yes they have the votes for it!...

Well said.

A message to everyone:

Please urge your family, friends, and colleagues to get involved in these political battles.  Apathy and complacency will do nothing to protect and preserve our rights and freedoms.  Rights and freedoms are not guaranteed; they require the People to constantly stand guard and fight for them (The Constitution and Bill of Rights).  If the People allow our Representatives to introduce and support legislation that whittles away at our rights and freedoms then we all lose.  Getting involved will definitely make a difference and help to defeat the flood of anti-gun legislation we are currently experiencing.

If everyone can take the steps to get involved and come together in a united voice, maybe we can all work together to bring the use of hounds back into the picture.  Keep that in mind when/if the dust settles from all these attacks on our 2nd Amendment.   Efforts like these take ALL of us working together.

If you don’t stand up and fight for your rights and freedoms now, Washington will follow the same hideous anti-gun and anti-hunting path we are witnessing in California.  Don’t let it happen!

United we succeed, divided we fail.

Very well said

Had to bring up hound hunting..... Mine had run of the pasture and not much else from '96 on. Traps r' not much more than a collectors item for wall decorations now. Sigh...liberals....

:bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

That dosnt make me feel better..

:mgun: :mgun: :mgun: :mgun: :mgun: :mgun: :mgun: :mgun: :mgun: :mgun2: :mgun2: :mgun2:

ok, I'm back...shake it off......ya gotta love those yellow M&M gunners..

And if we have said it once or a thousand times   :beatdeadhorse:  we have to stick together and NEVER give up.

If every hunter and gun owner in the United States stood up against this stupidity...we wouldn't be in this fix.
How many gun owners are there? How many hunters? We need all hands on deck-this is not a drill!

If you have relatives or friends who haven't spoken up yet..now is the time to ask them to get involved, call, email or go to a meeting and raise their hand stand up & step up to the mike, remind these legislators who they are there to represent!!

Can't tell me if between 10 to 80 million gun owners got riled up and shot off emails, faxes, letters or called their legislators we would need to have this discussion. If they did- and this was still going on, wouldn't be shooting emails...just sayin'.

According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, there were about 215 million privately owned guns in 1999. The NRA estimates that half of all American households (total US population is 294 million) have at least one gun owner.
Numbers vary, but estimates are 70-80 million gun owners
