Title: COMMENTARY: Times editorial, anti-gun group play dangerous semantics game
Post by: Dave Workman on March 03, 2013, 06:58:08 AM

Sunday’s editorial in the Seattle Times regarding a newly-created Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility plays a dangerous game of semantics to fool the public into believing that this group knows anything about true firearms safety, and is no threat to a fundamental civil right protected by both the state and federal constitutions.

The only way to push back against this insanity is take action and work together.  When there are billionaires funding the anti-gun propaganda machine, it makes the battle far more difficult and means we all must get engaged in the fight for our rights and freedoms.

Here is a post I wrote in another thread.

A message to everyone:

Please urge your family, friends, and colleagues to get involved in these political battles.  Apathy and complacency will do nothing to protect and preserve our rights and freedoms.  Rights and freedoms are not guaranteed; they require the People to constantly stand guard and fight for them (The Constitution and Bill of Rights).  If the People allow our Representatives to introduce and support legislation that whittles away at our rights and freedoms then we all lose.  Getting involved will definitely make a difference and help to defeat the flood of anti-gun legislation we are currently experiencing.

If you don’t stand up and fight for your rights and freedoms now, Washington will follow the same hideous anti-gun and anti-hunting path we are witnessing in California.  Don’t let it happen!

United we succeed, divided we fail.

Well, you can try, but I don't think your comments will last long....

Background check surge continues as WAGR launches Facebook page

As new background check numbers for February became available, suggesting a continuing national surge in gun sales, the newly-created Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility (WAGR) – a Seattle-based gun control group – launched its Facebook page and gun rights activists quickly jammed its message board.

Maybe all of us should put our comments on their facebook page.
