Title: Any rabbit hunting (bow hunter) areas within 4 hours of Seattle?
Post by: SpiritWolf on March 03, 2013, 03:30:26 PM
Looking to do some bow hunting of rabbits this last weekend of the season.  Can anyone tell me location of public land within about 4 hours of Seattle that has even semi decent rabbit opportunities?  Have been going to San Juan islands, lots of rabbits there, but there must be someplace cheaper in Washington to find lodging.  My wife and I went out for a cheeseburger last time we were at San Juan Island and it was fifty bucks.

Thanks for the help.

Have been researching and believe Scatter Creek Wildlife Recreation Area might be a spot to checkout. Going to scout soon. Any others have feedback on that area?

my parents lived down by  scatter creek I've seen a few on the road the parallels it. But once they start running dogs threw there they might be gone. I would try coyote calling in there too.
