My son called this morning to tell me that his grandparents have been murdered. It turns out it was a double murder, not murder suicide. There's a link to the most current story below. They lived in Burbank, a Chicago suburb. Sally, the grandmother was a really nice lady. The family has been plagued with violence. My son's half-brother died at the age of nineteen when a friend shot him in the chest with a .22 two days before Christmas. His uncle was shot to death 10 years ago by another Latin gang member, as was a brother in-law. I don't know a single member of the family who's died of natural causes. I can't imagine having grown up in a family like this where lawlessness and violent death is the norm.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My sincere sympathy goes out to you and your family.
Gun control laws only affect law-abiding citizens; they do not prevent the malevolent acts of violent criminals. By definition, criminals do not obey the law. This is the message we must keep sending to the people that are supposed to represent us. Unfortunately, we are finding that many of our “Representatives” are only interested in jumping on the bandwagon of anti-gun agendas.
