Has anyone heard of any good turkey hunitng up in Skagit or Whatcom Counties? just a thought.... if so where did you go? thanks in advance!
-
I saw a bunch of birds on the Tulalip Indian Res a while back.
-
I wish I knew. They are few and far between on this side.
Heading for the corner in five weeks.
-
I might go try and scout this weekend see what i can kick up an find :dunno:
-
You wont have much luck there. At one time there were a dozen birds in La Conner, but they have been removed. There are some on the Tulalip Res. though.
-
I live in Mount Vernon.
Waste of time. :bdid:

Pull up the turkey regs online, and you will see that practically no turkeys die in your neck of the woods.
The sad fact is you are hours of driving away from decent turkey hunting..... and then a couple more hours to good turkey hunting.

Latest published harvest was 8 birds (2011) in all NW Wa --- that works out to approximately one tenth of one percent. SW Wa isn't much better at approximately nine tenths of one percent (52 birds in 2011). That means 99% of the harvest happens in Eastern Wa ... go east young man ....

I told you that it was a waste of time. Go east we killed 2 in cle-elum last year on a 1 day hunt. I won't tell you my spot. I told you the area so start scouting.
-
I plan to if i can just get off on a saturday from work! i work monday-sat... it's had to drive 10 hours in a day plus scouting... ya know... working it before the season... trying i have everything i need, blinds, chairs, decoys, calls, etc... just not a spot :bash:
-
Irish, name a general location you would be comfortable in traveling to.. I will pinpoint you an area, if I know that there are birds in there. You will still have to scout the area, and do the leg work.
