Title: Question
Post by: stew pidasso on March 10, 2013, 05:22:45 AM
Does anybody know if you have  0 deg goose down bag, will you stay warmer if. You strip down to skivies and let body temp do its thing. Or stay layerd up in all your gear assuming its not wet. What is the warmest way to sleep?

I just wear micro weight wool long underwear top and bottom. Not for extra heat but so I'm not getting sweat/skin oil in my bag

I personally hate waking up and putting cold or frozen clothes on. Hasn't mattered what reason I was sleeping in a sleeping bag or where I was, I will either sleep in my gear or sleep with some of it in the bag. If it is not wet or covered in mud or dirt.

I've heard this debated before. I use synthetic down, but IMO the more layers the warmer you are.

I've never been cold in my down bags regardless of what I was wearing,I just wear something to keep the bag clean
