Gun Owners of America
________________________________________
Here’s where we are on Obama's gun control proposals:
• Today, the Nut-Left Democrats on the Senate Judiciary voted to report the Feinstein gun ban –which could ban between 50% and 80% of guns and magazines in circulation today. It may not even get a majority in the Senate – much less the 60 votes needed to pass. And it is being pushed primarily to allow anti-gun Democrats from pro-gun states to pretend to be pro-gun.
• Tuesday, the Judiciary Committee passed, by a 10-to-8 vote, the universal gun registry bill. Chief sponsor Chuck Schumer has been unable to achieve Republican support from anyone other than the anti-gun Illinois Republican Mark Kirk. Therefore, unless another Republican sells out at the last minute, we believe we can successfully filibuster this bill in the full Senate.
• Tuesday, by a vote of 14-to-4, the Judiciary Committee also reported a Boxer bill that would increase, by $10 million, the funding for an existing school safety program. The money could be used for armed guards, as the NRA proposes, or it could be used for an anti-gun study. It is therefore neither inherently “pro-gun” nor “anti-gun.” We have said we would oppose proceeding to Boxer if it is a vehicle for votes on other anti-gun measures – but that we would not object to its passage, without amendment, by “unanimous consent.”
• This brings us to the central battlefield: Last week, the committee reported, by a vote of 11-to-7, the Veterans Gun Ban, S. 54. The lone GOP vote in favor came from Chuck Grassley, who indicated he would oppose the bill on the Senate floor unless it was improved from the committee-reported version.
As we see it, the chief strategic objective is now to keep gun control votes from coming to the Senate floor by opposing the “motion to proceed” to any bill which is going to be used as a vehicle for gun votes.
That would certainly mean that senators should oppose moving to proceed to universal gun registries or the Veterans Gun Ban. But it also means that we oppose moving to proceed to so-called non-controversial bills, such as Boxer, if those bills are being brought up as a vehicle for anti-gun amendments.
ACTION: Click here to contact your senator. http://capwiz.com/gunowners/issues/alert/?alertid=62506136 (http://capwiz.com/gunowners/issues/alert/?alertid=62506136)
Ask him to oppose any motion to proceed – by filibuster if necessary – to the Feinstein gun ban, the universal gun registry bill, the Veterans Gun Ban (S. 54), or to any other piece of legislation being brought up as a vehicle for votes on these anti-gun proposals.

thats fine ...if nothen else we can rub it in their face ....I was going to say it differently but I will be nice :chuckle:

I changed the pre-formatted email to this:
"Dear Senators Murray and Cantwell,
330 million Americans didn't abuse their 2nd Amendment rights last year. There is no reason to take away our guns or infringe on our 2nd Amendment rights. None of the recent gun tragedies would have been averted by stiffer gun control - none of them. In addition, the founding fathers specifically included the 2nd Amendment as a protection against government tyranny. As an elected public servant, your vote supporting gun control is a vote to take power from the hands of the people and expose us to government abuses. Your vote for gun control is a vote that will give you power while taking mine away. This will not go unnoticed.
You'll please pardon me for reminding you that your sworn duty is to uphold the Constitution and serve the people of WA. I am a voting WA constituent, a law-abiding citizen, a veteran, and a concerned American. Please reconsider your efforts to support the subversion of our Constitution and the limiting of all of our rights as American citizens. I respectfully look forward to your reply."

I have attached another article as it seems the news is trying to target the patriotic groups and label them as far right extremist and domestic terrorists. They like their guns, god and flag and will become targets of homeland security. If you oppose what the government does you are now a terrorist. :bash: The article was posted in the Skagit Valley Herald 3/13/13 under Opinion. A Los Angeles Times article.
I tried to post on here, but can only get it as an attachment.

This seems to be the part of this all that many people here shrug off as not possible......open those eyes folks, its past the possible stage. :twocents:

Please post the date and byline of the article so I can verify 1. When it was published, 2. Who wrote it, and 3. If this is an opinion piece or if it's an article, which makes a huge difference.
It sounds like you want a fight, whether it's with people who agree with you or not. That's silly. Your comment about people shrugging this off has no bearing at all on reality or my desire to be able to use resources which are confirmed and legitimate when I speak with people about the problems we face in America today regarding our rights and the government that's trampling on them. You may be content with using anything you find on the internet as "evidence", but I'm not. I like real verified sources so that I don't end up looking like an idiot. That's happened to me before and I personally don't like it. To each their own, I guess.

Not to argue but do we not know that if we support the 2nd amendment were being labeled terrorists? it's been said on here before many many many times over the last few months. The issue is even if we know were not, the mainstream sees this and beleives it. So if anyone approaches that person in chat or street talk they begin to shy away very quickly as a matter of fact.
To answer the writers arguments though. Social security socialism it effects us all. Obama care Socialism it effects us all. Agenda 21 maybe unbinding but still being used to ctrl what people do with land Socialism it effects us all. Alcohol Prohobition was started by non other than socialists effected us all NFA act of 1934. Gun ctrl act of 1968 more than likely started by socialists effects us all.
UN owns land in US from what I've heard they own bits and peices of National parks and state parks why? Sounds like NWO to me.
We now have police actions all over the world yes some are from 9/11 but we were doing things way before. The EU has pretty much locked down europe in it clutches has even went so far as to ask or try to ask countries like switzerland to start gun ctrl legislation been shot down but for how long? All or most of Europe is Socialised now so go figure.
We really think all these things are just random acts? Not one bit for me at least.
but ya a time stamp would be helpfull

Here is the first two paragraphs of that story. Kinda scary dont you think?
There are, in increasingly frightening numbers, cells of angry men in the United States preparing for combat with the U.S. government. They are usually heavily armed, blinded by an intractable hatred, often motivated by religious zeal.
They're not jihadists. They are white, right-wing Americans, nearly all with an obsessive attachment to guns, who may represent a greater danger to the lives of American civilians than international terrorists.

Scary as in I'm going to go stand by the Gov. and go oh ohoh over there go get em like some sheeple lol heck no.
Scary as in they always paint patriots as people who want nothing more than kill a bunch of people and are nothing more than bloodthirsty killers? ya peo's me but patriots wont get rid of that lable ever... So patriots gotta do what they gotta do.
and if anyone knows the truth Patriots are taking the high road.
Now if you mean scary as in the Gov may come after someone just because they hold to patriot views then yes very much so!
What with NDAA and drones and such ya it's kind of scary. :hello:
