Title: Spring bear question!

It's behind my house and I need to save cash for Achery elk haha. Anyways, I know there are bears in the area cause I've killed one out of there am had A few more on camera. But this was all during fall and over bait.

So my question is, do I start hunting as soon as the snows gone? Or should I wait till the grass shoots up in the spur roads or what? I know it's all about the food sources in the spring but that's pretty much all I know.

Any info on the units and tips is much appreciated!

I completely understand. Defiantly a harder hunt. If I was you I would hit up the inland paper property above your place and glass from the roads the southern slopes and I would not be surprised if you could find a couple. The problem will be getting into position for a shot or the recovery since they tend to roll down hill and some of those hills are pretty dang steep... I think unit 2 is only open for a month also so a little shorter than most of the other units. Unit 2 is where I am focusing on also but that is because it is out my back door also. Post by: YoungGun on March 18, 2013, 12:16:43 AM: I have taken bears up there befor. I just wasn't sure if the atv pressure and vehical pressure makes them hide. That gate might be open to vehicals then.
I have a area in mind up there that might hold a few
