thought i would share, last year a buddy of mine and i were shed hunting and he picked up a little 4pt mulie that was i guess 2 maybe 3 years old, we met up and was showing me and he didn't even notice that there was a small caliber, im guessing 222 or 22-250 bullet lodged in the horn! only went in about 1/4 inch! i have a pix on my phone but don't know how to get to to this site to upload! anybody know how?

pretty cool, looks like he was on his way to being poached

That's one way to get sheds. Get close to the time when they drop and shoot them off with the yote gun. Great idea. ;)

probably a .22LR
222 or 22-250 would blow the horn in half
-
its not a 22lr, it was on the breaks of lake roosevelt so my initial thought is a long ways away shot!
-
That's cool, think somebody posted a pic last year of a spike bull shed that had a broadhead stuck in it.

I had a friend a few years ago that found a nice 5 point whitetail shed with a large caliber bullet in about the same place on the antler pretty cool I figured the same thing had to be shooting from way to far away if the foot pounds could blow the horn off.

i did a skull for a guy that had a 30-06 round lodged in his horn this year. didnt go thru! i was suprised!

Seen that twice. Wonder if the animals neck has enough give to absorb some of the energy??
