Title: Looking for Bear Turf
Post by: Dbax129 on March 26, 2013, 11:57:48 AM
Has anybody hunted bear in Kitsap?  Harvest report says it does pretty good for bear, better than a lot of the other 600 series units.  Where are people going in kitsap?  Maybe southwest of green mountain, or in the area surrounded on both sides by the hood canal?  Seabeck?  I read online that green mountain state park is open for hunting.
I'm also curious about Olympic, because its got high numbers.  Is ONP open to black bear? Doesn't seem like it would be, but I thought the Olympic GMU was the same border as the park?  Maybe not though huh?
Thanks for your help!  Also curious about the Coyle, but I live in kitsap and it would be nice to hunt local.  I'm new to black bear hunting.

ONP isn't open to bears, but ONF and lots of other land in Olympic are.
