Hello All,
This will be my first 3-D season in Washington, and thought I would ask for opinions about other members favorite shoots? I use 3-D as a chance to just relax and enjoy shooting, and tune up for hunting. Not in it for scores or trophies.
I've been to a fair amount of shoots in Oregon and Northern California (loved the Yreka shoot!) and some are more fun than others, as it is everywhere. So which ones are "don't miss" for you?

Bownaza hands down #1

My favorite is the one up north up by lynnwood. It is in july cant remember the name of the place. BRAIN FART.. The shhot has lots of ups and downs across canyons and a moose on the other side of a pond. Just like real hunting.
-
Living in Bonney Lake you hopefully have discovered the Skookum range on the south hill of Puyallup (Shaw Road). I can't speak for the 3D shoot they have since I haven't participated but I really like the range.

Check out the Wsaa web page should list all shoots and clubs

I have only shot at skookum 3d shoots except for one on the east side this year. Great fun and practice for hunting.
Doug will be doing his weekly 3d course of 28 targets for 5 dollars starting April 11th going through the end of August.
There is also a safari shoot this Saturday at Skookum.

Bownaza is a blast happy you told me about it. unfortunately we wont be making it this year again no way I am missing nationals. wish they were not the same weekend.
-
I really wish nationals wasn't during the week.
-
D rock you can shoot Friday, Sat, and Sunday instead of all 5 days. The Wed and Thursday rounds are like a mulligan....
-
How fair is that :dunno:. I'm thinking about it still.
-
klickitat 3d is by far the best shoot I have ever done!!!! But its the only 3d shoot I have been to :chuckle:
-
Klickitat is a must do! I've never been to Bownanza but hear its awesome.
-
Rhinehart 100 is a good shoot as well.
-
Any 3D shoot is a good time especially if you can scrounge up a couple of huntin buds to shoot it w/ya.
-
Some shoots are just better than others. TSC shoots are always some of my favorite.
-
TSC and capitol city bowmen put on my favorites. Never shot bownanza but would like to!
-
You need to shoot bownanza make a weekend of it camp out. Its a blast
-
D Rock, Who puts the Bownanza on and about when is it?
-
I'm thinking about heading down to Capitol City Bowman's safari shoot next weekend...I'm guessing by the title it is african 3-d targets? The flyer says it's a 3-D shoot, when I first saw it I thought it was a regular safari shoot, I.E. paper targets with spots but if it's advertised as a 3-D...? :dunno:
-
It the last full weekend in July.
-
There are a lot of Great shoots here in the Puget Sound. Capitol City usually hosts the Rinehart shoot which is always a blast, Tacoma Sportsmens Club puts on 5-7 shoots a year with the IRON AMOS in June being there biggest shoot. Cedar River has the BONANZA which is their biggest shoot of the year and is a good one, Kitsap Archers over in Belfair also puts on good shoots. The Big Game warm up up in Kennmore is also a realy good shoot, but be prepared to hike up and down and it is usually warm. All the clubs around here put on pretty good shoots. Check out the WashingtoN State Archers Association web site for the complete calaner schedual.

Cedar River Bowmen it's our biggest shoot of the year. I think we had around 10,000 in door prizes last year. It's in July. Check out our site for details.
Thanx Jkeen33. Might just have to see what's on the schedule then.
