My family and I have been here since last August. This is the first season to be able to hunt. I am not for sure where and what I need to do because of the different rules and regulations. Originally from Texas, stationed at Fairchild AFB but I am a Army Recruiter out of Cheney and Spokane Valley. Have been hunting my whole life and would like to enjoy it up here also and take advantage of the Elk and Bear. Any help will be accepted and not afraid to drive. Thank You....Steven Dennis

What weapon are you looking to hunt with? What season do you want to hunt? Here, you have to select either modern firearm, muzzleloader or archery unless you draw a multiseason tag. Once you get that part figured out and your tags purchased you'll just need to hit the woods. Lots of good hunting in the units north of Spokane.

:yeah: You have very good hunting grounds over there. Just pick-up the regs. and start reading. I would start applying for permits to. Good luck

And scour this site. Look through threads and search keywords. It has been very helpful to me and a lot of others. Lots of good people here.
You live in the promised land over there. Good luck.

Welcome to Washington and to the forum. :hello:
There is plenty of public land with good hunting all over the region, get a National Forest, BLM, or DNR map and have at it. If you post repeatedly in this topic I imagine you will get tips from some of the members. Another good option, google Inland Empire Paper, they sell permits to hunt or cut firewood on their land near Spokane, not even a long drive for you.
