I see merit in it.  I am 6'5" so would have issues with banging my head.  I'd say make dang sure they can't come down or they could kill someone.

if you want honest feedback, I'd keep them leaning against the entertainment center so people can handle them.  Looks kinda funny like that.

Or, I've got plenty of room to store them for you  :chuckle:

Make a standing lamp out of them or something, not too hard to do, just takes a big drill bit, and some time.

Try and suspend them with heavy test fishing line, clear, instead of the rope. 20 lb test should be more than enough.  Just to have the focus on the horns instead of the rope.

Like the idea

You just gave me a great idea!  Take an I-bolt and put it into a truss in the ceiling in a corner or out of the way.  Take you rope (I would get a darker color so it blends better) and tie it to the I-bolt.  Then half hitch or tie the antler around the base or where your H-1 measurement would be taken.  Leave the rope at least 2-3 times the height of the ceiling.  Then as you get more tie them on!  Then when you get to the floor start a new one.  Eventually you will not need a Christmas tree.  Tie them as close together as you can.

Use leather straps like they use for stringing baseball gloves.  Works really well and looks better than rope or fishing line.  I'd be worried about the constant stretch on the fishing line eventually becoming brittle.

I've always wanted to do a full mount of either a moose or elk. The front half in one room, the back half on the other side of the corresponding wall.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Put the ass end in the guest room.  :chuckle:
