I went to hook line and sinker today to see if I could get my trout rod fixed, and the store was empty :yike: Did it shut down, or move again, or what :dunno:
And does John's Sporting Goods repair rods :dunno:
-
Don't know about John's but Greg at Greg's Custom Rods in Lake Stevens can probably fix you up. He has helped me in the past.

Cool, I may check him out. It is just that John's is right down the street from my school :chuckle: I don't know if it even can be fixed. It is broke about 8ish inches from the tip, and it is just a trout rod :( I loved that rod though so it would be nice to have it doctored up.

Hook line & sinker closed a few months ago. Too bad. It was a good shop.

Gregs

:yeah:

Closer to the tip the break is, the harder it will be to fix with anything close to the original action. Especially for a light action rod. If they're still made you could buy another and have a spare butt section.

That's what I was thinking :( It is about 11-12 inches from the tip so..... ya :P I may just have to get a new rod because I bought this rod like..........8ish years ago :dunno: I will have something figured out.

A buddy of mine in Lake Stevens builds and repairs rods
Maybe he can do it
-
Well after googling my rod...it is only about a 25 dollar rod so......... :chuckle: I'll just buy a new rod for that.
Thanks for all the help though guys  I break a few rods so I will probably be visiting a few eventually :chuckle:

Cool. Glad you found a solution.
Last time I found a trout rod I really liked for a reasonable price I ended up buying 5 of 'em- figured I/my kids would break 'em and I'd have a couple spares. Of course we haven't broken any...yet.

If you find a blank you like pm me. I'm always looking to do new builds and with 20ish rods in my arsenal its kind of tough to justify new builds sometimes :chuckle: no payment, just practice for me.

Haha....ok :chuckle: I like reloading ammo for my friends and stuff so I can relate :chuckle:

I stumbled into the store on it's last day......... Everything was like 50% off. I ran to the bank and dropped 400 bucks on...... stuff. The owner said he was looking to open a store in a better location sometime in the future.
