Just curious, Had to stop because of a deer crossing the road. Looks like a pretty nasty one.
Was missing a lot of hair, Out in the Orting area.
Does it have mange, or what? Is this something I should report to WDFW? :dunno:

Don't report. Looks like a deer that is recovering from hair slip.

Shedding its winter coat.

So it had lice? Just something we never seen before, the patches were very yellow.

What you are seeing is a deer that is recovering from hair loss (slip). It may not have had that severe of case or just pulled through. This time of year they are shedding what is left of their old coat and growing a new one.
