I was selected for deer and elk. $400. Almost like hunting out of state.
Exactly why I didn't put in. I figured the money I save on not applying and then buying the tag almost pays for my Oregon hunt. Congrats on all that drew and good luck!

Why even make it a draw for deer. Make it an over the counter option!

Furthermore, where would the endless "when will the draw be run" and "back door draw results" posts go? Who could whine about not being drawn when it's OTC? ;)

The money I saved by not applying will pay for gas during the regular season so I can go more and stay longer.
$380 if you apply for, draw and purchase both permits. That pretty much would pay for a week long hunt somewhere for me. :chuckle:

Got elk here! Tried to buy it and it isnt an option. Are they available for purchase yet?
I checked and the multi season deer tag I drew is available for purchase.
It could be that you already have your elk tag?
If you have an elk tag already, the multi season tag will not show up as an option. You need to go to a license dealer and do an exchange.

Also drew both but I'm only going to use elk. Would be nice to turn the deer back in so somebody else could use it but hear that is not a option. I will lobby this rule and see if I could get it change. Any thoughts out there about this?It would do no good. Deer is already 100% draw. WDFW thanks you for your donation of the application fee.
