Do you guys remember Bloomberg's response to something like this?  A couple years old, but still shows the lib mindset.
http://www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/ammunition/2011/02/bloomberg-calls-kitchen-knife-law-reform (http://www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/ammunition/2011/02/bloomberg-calls-kitchen-knife-law-reform)
Quote
“This tragic event demands that America inject some sanity, some kind of reasonable controls, into its kitchen-knife laws. No one but a professional chef needs an 8-inch kitchen knife. No one but a professional chef needs an entire collection of kitchen knives. Why was this person, who had a criminal record, able to buy kitchen knives with no sort of background check? Because anyone can walk into a hardware or kitchen-supply store and buy any knife they want as easily as they can buy a blender or a colander.

“Unlike guns, knives do not have to be reloaded, which increases their lethal potential. They are easily concealable and quiet. No civilian should have access to weapons this deadly. Kitchen-knife dealers should be required to conduct background checks and report multiple sales. It is time to stand up to the kitchen-knife lobby. I call upon my fellow mayors to join me in the effort to place reasonable controls upon kitchen knives and end this madness.”

I think this thread is pointless. We quickly jumped on our government leaders and celebrities that used the Sandy Hook tragedy to get their personal bias opinions out there. How is this any different? Why use this college tragedy as a way to throw a jab at the President because you have different beliefs than him. To me I think we should send prayers their way instead of using in this manner.  :twocents:

Pretty funny and well done but I hope nobody believes Doomberg actually said this. :chuckle:

You apparently must not have read my post all the way through. Talking is fine but I don't think you should use this incident as a way to throw a jab at President Obama. It's no different than Diane Feinstein using Sandy Hook as a way to get her political views out to organize another stupid ban on assault rifles.

I read your post. So what you were trying to say is the random responses are worthless. The original poster who started this thread simply put a link up to share the story of this tragedy.

Unfortunately with what the government has been trying to do the last few months puts everyone on edge. Nobody can help but wonder whats next??

Great point Ranger and I agree, just because the liberals do it does not make it right.

However!!!! ;) seems the left have no moral conscience, or end, to how low they will stoop in order to persuade or brainwash the low information voter, in a drive to further their overall agenda. It's kind of like using sex in advertising, it may be in poor taste, be morally objectionable or demeaning but you can not deny that it is working.

Obama is perhaps the master at using these sort of things to manipulate the public, he has been the poster child for the term "let no tragedy go to waste", just yesterday he flew 12 parents of the Sandy Hook victims to DC aboard Airforce 1 so they could lobby congress "for his" anti gun agenda.

Its admirable of you to see this as exploitation, but respectfully, you need to pull your head out of the sand. ;)

Whats good for the goose is good for the gander, how do you think we should defend our ways with these anti gun nutts if not by showing them there own faults.(guns and knives dont kill its the phsycho behind it thats at fault)I think there should be an mtv video put out on this just like snoop dogg and the Sandy Hook tragedy.and if you think thats a bad idea well too bad.why dont you get ahold of the liberals and tell them what they are doing isnt FAIR.

Actually this just goes to show if someone wants to hurt or kill a lot of people. Their going to do it with what ever they have. As many have said guns don't kill people people kill people. same goes for every other inanimate object someone chooses to use to hurt or kill someone.

 Case and point

The Bath School Disaster

On May 18, 1927, 45 people, mostly children, were killed and 58 were injured when disgruntled and demented school board member Andrew Kehoe dynamited the new school building in Bath, Michigan out of revenge over his foreclosed farm due in part to the taxes required to pay for the new school.

Huh?  So, what the president was doing yesterday and today is any different.  Loading up all the Sandy Hook parents on a plane and flying them to Washington D.C. to have them help push his agenda.  He is trying to get all the victims together to push his sinister plan.  He is very good at leveraging his agendas.  Just look at his healthcare.  They are an unfortunate pawn in his game.  He wants to save children, but is for abortion.   :bash:  The only thing he fears is people themselves.  He is in the process of taking the fear out by removing their means of protection, liberty.

Obana will fly all of the victims families on air farce one to DC and parade them around like pawns trying to get yet another one of his marxist agendas passes and try to make the conservatives look evil.  It is sickening what that idiot has done by using the folks from Sandy Hook as props, he will do it again.

BECAUSE IT IS THE PERSON NOT THE KNIFE.   Just like the feel good let's do something BS that is going on right now with our gun rights. It is n ot the gun, it is the person. So now I guess we have to ban kitchen utensils.  I mean really, 14 people and nobody stepped up to kick this guy's arss? Oh, by the way, this happened in a knife free safe zone...................Everything you can apply to the gun control BS can be applied here. It is not the inatament objects fault.
