Title: Does anyone know some area to turkey hunt that is close enough to Portland for
Post by: Elkgetr2 on April 14, 2013, 06:09:00 PM: I have a friend who hasn't hunted before that lives in Portland and is wanting to get a turkey. I personally have only hunted Washington out of goldendale.

Post by: shorthair15 on April 14, 2013, 06:15:46 PM: do a google search. the white river unit up towards the gorge off I-84 has birds. tell him to call the game office tomorrow. I think there is one in the dalles.oregon. a ton of birds down south towards roseburg but it is a ways.

Post by: docsven on April 14, 2013, 06:22:59 PM: Closer to go down to the Wind River bridge and cross over into Skamania County. I used to hunt there when I lived in Portland. Used to be lots of birds there.
