I've got a couple kids to take for a hike on sunday if the weather is ok and was wondering if there were any suggestions. 2 girls 5 and 6 years old. They've both been in about 2 miles with me in the past and do pretty well for little kids. We've done Cougar Mountain, Tiger Mountain, Twin Falls, etc. and were just thinking about something new. Any suggestions? We live in Duvall and would be ok driving an hour and a half or so.
Thanks in advance.

You may have done it already but little si is very kid friendly. 2.5 miles total (or each way I dont remember!). Easy inclines and a great view at the end.
-
Chuckanut, fragrance lake is doable and if you plan it around low tide the kids love the tide pools.

I have a good one for you, let my refer to my hiking buddy and my lady real fast. Im not quite sure on the name. I think its about 2 miles total and has some cool toy like statues for the kids to play/learn on. I dont remember 100% Like a kids center.

Wallace falls in darrington is really good. Gravel path for most of the hike.

Wallace falls is great to, maybe not for a kid as small as 5 and 6 though.
Then again after re-reading the OP wallace falls would be fine.
Just has lots of switchbacks and elevation gains.

We've got both these girls half way to the top of Wallace falls. That's about it.
Thanks.
I might have to check out your link, Smossy.

 Lots of great information on that site.
Alltrails.com also. I usually bounce back and forth from each site to check on hikes, hiking conditions, and distance/elevation gains.

I second this. Nice hike and lake.

Check out greenwater lakes its I believe 2 miles one way to the first lake and a pretty easy hike for kids. I believe you need a northwest forest pass to park at the trailhead though.

We ended up bagging the hike that weekend but we did the Boulder River trail 2 weeks ago. Good trip for kids. 2 5 year olds round tripped 3.2 miles. I was impressed with that....good spirits the whole way too. No complaining or anything. Definitely recommend it for any youngsters. There is very little elevation gain but lots of views of the river and a few neat waterfalls, especially neat with the snowmelt.

little further drive, but Baker Lake trail is a good one, too. Just hike as far as you want and then turn around. Right along the river, nice scenery, and flat.
