Title: Special Permits and choosing a weapon.
Post by: IBspoiled on April 20, 2013, 11:01:30 AM
I can't seem to find the answer to my question in the new hunting regs.  I would like to put in for a few special permits for elk using a rifle, but if I do not draw, I would like to choose to hunt with my bow during bow season.  Is this something that you can do?  Or do you have to buy your elk tags when you put in for the special permits?  Thanks.

Only way to do what you wish would be to get drawn for the multi season permit.

You have to buy an elk license (and declare weapon choice) before special permit application.

:yeah: they will NOT let you exchange your tag if you put in for special permits.
