 i heard there was a unit where you can hunt mule deer when they migrate anyone know where that might be..

Are you talking about Swakane?  You dont need a permit to hunt it November 20th-December 8th.

Bigbeam,

IMO it's not what it was 4 plus years ago.  Large numbers of hunters and popularity of archery; plus the multi-season tags.  You will probably rub elbows on the above mentioned unit on the late hunt.

Just like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it.

Pogue, sinelekin are another two that are open for migratory bucks.  I have hunted over there over thanksgiving 3 different times now and have seen nice deer.  Last november we chased a 30inch 4 point for 4 days and never got him.  The closest we came to him was 70 yards and had does in our way of pursuit.  We seen a total of 11 shooters and 9 were 24 inches or bigger
