So I was given this product to test and these are my thoughts.
First impression is that it looks almost like an advanced disposable respirator. Though after using it I can see having one in my bag for several reasons. Second it fits well as long as you leave a little play in it. This still gives you full range of motion without compromising the seal. Third there is a metal band on the bridge of the nose. This is easy to adjust for the right fit. But like the disposable ones it breaks after adjusting it too much. Fourth the clasp itself is easy enough as velcro. Easy on and easy off. Fifth the filters. There are several filters that can be used but the one I was given was a carbon filter. I used it several times in areas where a mask is required and it seemed to do the job well. Final thought...
I liked the ease of use and it felt better then disposable respirators. But there are a few issues. One the metal clasp for the nose is easily broken when used frequently. There is also no easy way to fix this. They should not use rivets to secure the band but some type of button or other means to attach new bands. Second the stitching for the clasps starts to unwrap when you take it on and off regardless of how carefully you try to unvelcro it. This is a nice product but I’m not sure I would purchase it for anything I do. Whether I am outside or inside if I require a respirator I will pay for a better one. As for hunting though I did not get a chance to test the scent blocker feature. But I’m unsure how effective it would be. It's a nice idea but needs some work to perfect it.
