That looks like it may be galvanized on the inside.  I always thought that was not to be used as a smoker.  Could be an old wives tale though.

 if it is pull it out and proceed, either way its got a slick lower box for a heat chamber. id used galv. for cold smoking no problem.

Heck, it might even be worth fixing and making into a beverage cooler. Paint it up something cool on the outside. Or even an ice cooler full of beer! hmmmmm

Just make it into a smoker. not sure how to fix it as a freezer but i know people who have had the guts replaced in them before. My uncle has restored a lot of working ones into garage/hanger refers and coolers.

Build you a smoker for free? Why not just read Kc's other thread and do it yourself? Ill be building one once we move to my new house
