Excellent!, Excellent!, Excellent! You dirty dog, been wanted to hit it this fall but between going chasing Elk and kids hockey, ready to get back into the game. Gotta love Sturgeon upon beginning with them this summer, they are NOW my favorite fish to catch. Supposedly (well you have proof) the fishing is excellent now and my bud from Portland keeps telling me it get better as the year goes on... I am slowly getting them figured out throughout the lower river just haven't hit the actual dam area YET!!! Any tips for the area, which launches are better etc..... Been talking with a few for a big HUNTWA get together this summer for these guys, maybe some kind of contest for a hat or something like that.... Great Job! It's all about the smoked Triceps isn't it???? Should I go hunting or fishing, hmmmmmmm????

Wow Cohoho. We gotta get down there and lay it on those sturgeon. :o
-
Yes we do, I got to look at my wife's schedule and de-conflict it with kids hockey. We'll just use a launch that everyone else does versus going into a unchartered launch with three inches of water with a 3500lb boat..... :chuckle: Ray dubbed my boat the "Sturgeonator" so need to live up to those expectations.... Gives a reason to buy the big ho-daddy of anchor early.......Man those above fish are nice!
-
The launches up there on the wa side will give you no problem. Most important will be the anchor and process of anchoring. Good sharp knife up front as well just in case. Just make sure you have plenty of chain and that you don't have it ziptied to tight to the top of the anchor. You need some slack in the chain between where it ties to the anchor and where you have it welded on. That way the anchor won't dog walk down the river.
Hopefully deer season goes quick and I can get down there.
