I am looking all over trying to find boundarys of Vail and pe ell treefarms. I was going to apply for a cow tag in ryderwood but not sure I should because of access with the wh access permits.
Thanks

Why would you want a hoof rotted cow lol
-
There is quite a bit of other ownership in the Ryderwood unit besides Weyerhaeuser. But the Weyerhaeuser land within the unit will be closed to access unless you have the access permit. I bet that cow permit will be an easier draw this year.

Does anyone know if there are any half-way accurate maps of the timber company lands that us common folk can take a gander at to figure these things out? Anything would help if anyone has any information to share or pass on. Thanks and happy hunting,.... for a damn place to hunt!!! :chuckle:

that is the answer I was hoping for.I realize there will be other land than only weyerhaueser there but how much? And is it huntable? I probably will alter my choices... I can already see the guys that draw tags there and can't or don't want.to buy access... there will be threads on it I am sure.

Also looking for a land ownership map of Ryderwood and Willapa Hills. Seems like lots of owners down there.
-
There is no map. You need to look at the county assessor's websites. Most counties have online maps that show land ownership.

Not only does it affect cow tags, but puts a huge damper on the wahkiakum tag as well if you do not have the Weyco access permit!

The Pe Ell tree farm is a huge portion of the ryderwood unit. Basically from wildwood road to the 1000 road in Pe ell, and from the pe ell-mcdonald road south to an area around elochoman lake i think is the area???

If you have a Rino, you can get the land ownership SD card from one of our sponsors, Double U Hunting Supply for $99. It's a layer that you can load right in or transfer to your storage card.
