I hunted the yakima Rez for birds a lot last year in the feel free to hunt places and saw a tons of coyotes. Are you allowed to hunt them during the summer if you have a Rez license? If I remember correctly some of the places said bird hunting only but you would thing for bird management they would want to get some coyotes thinned out.

You can NOT hunt coyotes on The Yakama Rez anytime of the year without a special tribal hunting/trapping permit.

Do you get a permit? Dontgetcrabs?

Yes

This got me thinking, can I hunt elk on the rez(if there is any)? And how tough is it to get a permit?
-
I wonder what they would do (Indians) if they caught you in the back country on the Rez hunting?
-
should be able to but probably can't :bash: :bash:

As far as I know the only authorized hunting is birds. You can hunt private property or county property kus
-
You can hunt yotes there, the cost of the permit is $100 and they normally go on sale in September

Hawk Hunting???
Never heard that one before... :dunno:

I have heard that it was a huge fine and possibly jail time.
There is a reason i have not hunted the rez in a while for birds, between the coyotes and hawks, bird hunting has gone down hill down there.
They should open up coyote hunting and hawk hunting for like a weekend or two during the summers.
