I am pretty proficient with weapons, but I have never taken the time to learn how to shoot a muzzy.
I live in Tacoma; any gun clubs offer classes in my area?
I am trying to broaden my hunting horizons and create an alternative weapon choice to modern firearm. I am even considering bow hunting, IF I could find a good group of guys to hunt with. I hunt alone, but would love to meet some guys to hunt with.

 have a look at the www.wsma (http://www.wsma) .org they can give a list of the mthly shoots and any other shoots Tacoma sportsman club has lots of folks that shoot black powder an most of them hunt muzzle loader lots of good folks out and about just have to keep your eyes open at the shoots and ask around

I would meet somewhere like Pousbo SC and shoot. I just got my muzzy last season. I shot a little and then work got in the way with travel. I'd meet in Pousbo or something?
oneshot, I heard WSMA is a traditional group and tend to look sideways at inlines, is this true? Not saying it the case just something I heard. Kind of a Steelhead on the swing or nymphing thing.

no but they do lots of events that are mostly fur trade era so the in lines were not used at the events and they don't allow then to be used during the shoots but for the most part there is a lot of good information along with good times to be had at the events and some forlks can be hard nosed about the inlines but for the most part if your shooting an hunting with a blackpowder weapon its all good they are all out there to help a fellow front stuffer
