Title: $10 fee for Hunter Report
Post by: fishnate on May 17, 2013, 12:07:37 PM
So I bought my licence the other day and I was charged the $10 fee for not submitting my hunter report.  It shows my quality bull report but not deer or bear.  I know i did it all. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else. I guess I will start writing my confirmation numbers down from now on.  :bash:

Do you call them in or do it online?

I hate dropping my catch cards into the box at the regional offices for this very reason. I do it, but expect to one day be bit by it.

I've been very lucky with online reporting. No problems yet.

I write the confirmation numbers on my expiring license and put it back in my wallet until I get my new license.

I do a similar thing. I put them in the gun safe till I get the new ones.

I did them online.  I called the dept and without a confirmation number there is nothing they can do.

That sucks. Just another way for F&G to squeeze a few more dollars out of us. Wouldn't be surprised to find out they randomly hit people with that figuring they won't have the confirmation numbers.

It happened to me about two years ago. I know I reported, but said I didn't and charged me $10  :bash:

it happened to me once but the dwfw called me and said their computers had crashed and lost a bunch of reports, so in the end they mailed me a check for reimbursement.

I've never had a problem with the online reporting, usually try to report early for the bonus opportunity.

How would you know if they tacked on $10.  I think they tacked on about $200 to mine.

Tried to get my son a new Catch card (free) and they wanted to charge me $10 at the store because of the crab fee.  I KNOW I turned in all catch record cards in one envelope on time.  Said "no thanks" I'm complaining.
Went home, tried to get the CRC on the net, and no fee showed up.

I got nailed for the crab fee as well. Thought about walking away on principle, but I love crab.

Always done online with no problems printed and keep conformation page along with not selected e-mails. BIG STACK OF PAPERS
