After a trip to the lake, I had to order a new prop for my boat. My bad, I didn't know they dropped the lake level and clipped a stump.
I was looking for a honda prop on line and apparently made a huge mistake by ordering it from boats.net Due to their claims of having over six million dollars in inventory and showing the prop I needed to be in stock, I expected it would be shipped on Monday. WRONG!
On Monday I got an e-mail telling me it would ship on Wednesday. Kinda weird but guess it will be ok. On Wednesday, I get another e-mail saying it now wont ship until Friday.
Today .... You guessed it... I didnt get shipping confirmation or a tracking number. I called the company and after being put on hold for over 30 mins, I finally got a live person. I explained that I was not happy with their customer service and expected the prop to be shipped.
Their response, We'll make a note of it and try to get it out today.
Still no confirmation, no tracking number.
Monday I will cancel the order and promise never to trouble anyone in their company again. >:( :( :bash:

That's really interesting. I order stuff from them a lot and have had just the opposite experience. :dunno:

Never, Never again. Another 45 min on hold so they could tell me my order did not ship as promised. F@C% boats.net! :bash:

Glad I read this. I was JUST about to order some fuel injection parts for my boat from boats.net
I need parts, not a run-around. Thanks for sharing!

Here in Spokane we have a place that repairs props good as new for much less than new. Pretty short turnaround too. They can change the shape if desired adding more cup to stainless or aluminum. Precision propeller. They have a website. They have been repairing props for 50 years and they sell new ones too. Props and only props! They are good.

I have used the Prop Shop in Mukilteo (sp?) They repair and sell new and seem to have a decent stock on hand.

A definite  to the last two posts.
My advise, buy a new prop, have the old one repaired, you will not have to worry about not having a prop when needed again. This winter, I sent The Prop Shop six props from two boats in, let them have a couple for a reduced price on fixing the rest.
Crap happens, it's easy to ding a prop, best to be prepared.

http://www.tacomapropeller.com/ (http://www.tacomapropeller.com/) is very good with great prices and fast turnaround as well.

Well today was the day they promised my prop would ship. After 40 min on hold, I got a woman who couldn't find my info... "Leave me your number, and I'll call you back when I have an answer."
Three hours later, I called back. Another 45 min on hold before they again wanted my number so they could call me back... no way! I'll wait. After I finally asked "Do you, or don't you have the prop and are you going to send it?"
They finally admitted they did not have the prop as they said they did. So they can't send it. Then he admits they failed to order it from Honda.
Now they promise it will be next day air shipped from Honda to them and next day air from them to me. I wont hold my breath.
I can tell you this, I promised them that if I do not get confirmation that the prop is being shipped next day air and will arrive by Wednesday, my next stop will be my vinyl sign guy so I can put a boats.net warning on the side of my boat.

Cancel your order and buy it from some other place. If you used your credit card go through them if you are not satisfied.
