Does the cow on the left look pregnant to you?  She seems to be pretty fat.

Well there is no doubt that she is a lead cow.  That is the entire herd in the picture. What time of year do they calve?

late may early june is when they usually pop! but they usually separate themselves from the heard so its young is safe. easier to hide also.  might be some tender calf running around your parts this year  :hello:

Ran into a very pregnant cow Sunday morning in a place where elk are rarely seen.  By herself, slick and shiny.  That calf will be on the ground soon.

Thats not right. One post your talking about letting blacktails getting bigger than a year and a half spike and the next your talking about shooting 6 month old calves.  :chuckle:

yeah probably because a 6 month old calf is bigger than a full grown blacktail. think with your dip stick before you speak lol :chuckle:
