Title: Need advice from all you Taxi's
Post by: biggamehunter on May 21, 2013, 08:33:35 PM: So I'm going to build a pedestal for a shoulder mount. What do I need to do to attach the mount to the stand? Thanks in advance.

You see, I have a bunch of scrap carbon fiber that I want to incorporate in with my stash of padouk wood. I'm just curious if I need to have something in place prior? Or can it wait?

Post by: bucklucky on May 29, 2013, 07:56:49 AM: Hey Jake , you can have a base sure but as far as how the mount will attatch to the base you would want to wait till the mount gets worked on as there are multiole ways of doing that . I weld up steel for mine usually , sometimes use round tube, sometimes square. Then I make a bracket that goes onto the base and if there is habitat it oes on first then the habitat goes on around it .
